The German Russian Center of Multifunctional Nanostructured Materials is structured as a competence center of TuTech and its activities focus on international projects, educational programmes and technology transfer for mutual benefit on carrying out the scientific research in the field of multifunctional nanostructered materials.

Main Goal is to create new technologies for the production of  “tailor made” multifunctional nanostructured materials and formulations for applications in the field of  “life sciences”: cosmetics, pharmacy, food industry, agriculture, insulation materials and textiles.

Special attention is given to the functionalization of the existing materials and further development of the encapsulation techniques to get the “tailor made” formulations with the desired release of active compounds for each specific target. To achieve this goal, both partner universities work together with industrial partners from both countries (in the first stage Evonik Degussa GmbH).
