For the fourth time, start-ups, investors, business representatives and the start-up support network gathered at Startup Port at Tutech Innovation in May. Nearly 100 participants took advantage of the evening to network, explore potential partnerships and hold funding discussions.
Six start-ups took to the stage to present their solutions and sought funding as well as contacts with potential customers and partners
- KLARSTAND offers car repair shops an AI-based solution that links diagnostic data, manuals and existing systems to streamline processes.
- Polytone enables young musicians to use high-quality instruments through a new investment model.
- Wastenomics has developed a reverse vending machine system for small electrical appliances, which makes it easy for consumers to return them and thus helps to recover valuable raw materials.
- Patterno uses AI to automate the process of identifying and analysing public tenders for companies that may be interested.
- pickz.aisupports opticians with an AI-based service that helps them select suitable frames for their customers.
- Innolyze has developed a cost-effective yet highly accurate radar and software solution that enables infrastructure operators such as Deutsche Bahn to carry out effective predictive maintenance.
Following the pitches, a get-together provided ample opportunity for in-depth discussions among the participants.

Since 2019, Hamburg’s largest universities and DESY have joined forces to promote and support academic start-ups more effectively. In 2023 this cooperation was extended to provide a central access point to the startup support units of all participating institutions through Startup Port. Our partner company Hamburg Innovation jointly operates this project.
