From 4 to 6 September 2026, the Start-up Camp took place in the Startup Port building – three days packed with entrepreneurial spirit, discussion and inspiration.
Every year, the intensive start-up seminar brings together people interested in setting up a business who wish to work on their ideas in a professional environment, receive valuable feedback and network with like-minded people.
Around twenty enthusiastic participants took part from Friday morning until Sunday evening – guided by experienced experts from academia and industry. Using methods such as the Business Model Canvas, rapid prototyping and pitch training, the participants defined the target audience for their projects, refined their value proposition, assessed the feasibility of their revenue model and learnt how to present their offering effectively.
A particular highlight was the visits from start-up guests, who spoke openly about their personal journeys as founders – how they overcame initial hurdles, dealt with setbacks and achieved their goals. According to feedback from former participants, these insights are among the most valuable aspects of the programme. The traditional finale on Sunday evening consisted of the participants giving pitches on their respective start-up projects.
The GründungsCamp has been organised jointly since 2005 by Tutech Innovation, Tempowerk, the Startup Port network (including Startup Port @TUHH) and Leuphana University of Lüneburg, and has established itself as a fixture in the North German start-up ecosystem. The close collaboration between the partners makes the programme a unique opportunity for anyone seriously considering taking the step towards self-employment.
