The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) is providing German start-ups with an outstanding platform for international visibility and targeted networking at VivaTech in Paris from 17 to 20 June 2026.
Twelve innovative start-ups from Hamburg will be showcasing their work at the German Pavilion this year:
elementarhy, COLIPI GmbH, MycoLutions GmbH, Nect, Planeteers, TimeTeller, Lignopure GmbH, SupplyET, BrandPatrol, Spreat sowie Berking Theranostics.
The spectrum ranges from sustainable biotechnologies and digital identity solutions to AI-driven supply chain optimisation and innovative solutions for diagnostics and trademark protection. Working alongside our team from the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), we connect companies in a targeted manner to facilitate business partnerships.
Tutech has been successfully supporting COLIPI GmbH and Lignopure GmbH in particular for many years, including in the areas of IP strategy and IP transfer (as subscribers to our newsletter will recall from issue 1/2025).
Germany named official ‘Country of the Year’
What makes this year special is that Germany is the official ‘Country of the Year’ (partner country) at VivaTech. The German partner country presence is organised under the umbrella of ‘Startup Germany’ and brings together start-ups, federal initiatives and programmes, associations and federal states in a diverse innovation park. The aim is to strengthen Franco-German cooperation and create new opportunities for exchange and visibility. The presence is being coordinated by the BMWE. At the kick-off event in Berlin, representatives from politics, business and the French innovation ecosystem gave the go-ahead for the joint project and outlined the initial content and objectives. Interested partners, start-ups and other stakeholders had until mid-January to register for participation in the German joint stand. Around 200 start-ups and partners are expected; the German stand covers 800 m² and is thus the largest in the history of VivaTech.
