The Generato team has won one of the main prizes, valued at €32,000, in the 2020 Digital Information Founders’ Competition.
On average a third of the time spent on software development is taken up with imprecise specifications and changing technology. Consequently, the Generato team has attracted keen interest from many clients from Hamburg and abroad due to its convincing technology. They have now been joined by the BMWi (Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) judging panel: the startup has won one of the main prizes in the 2020 Digital Information Founders’ Competition. The award comes with €32,000 in prize money and was presented to the teams this year completely digitally, on Twitter and Facebook. “A prize like this really is a compliment and gives us great satisfaction,” says Generato co-founder Cedrik Dudek.
Using the cloud-hosted Generato web platform, agencies, freelances and enterprise clients can save a lot of software development time. In concrete terms this sounds very technical: new software systems with data structures and user interfaces can be structured and output via different code bundles for known technologies. The program code generated with the aid of the platform is then available to software developers in their programming environments and can be developed further there or synchronised back to Generato. Everything can be altered and adjusted and can be applied in all programming languages and frameworks, even for wholly new or proprietary technology.
“The feedback’s very good and our developers are really grateful that they no longer have to type these simple, recurring code structures themselves,” says Generato co-founder Paul Coch.
“We want Generato to help software development all over the world to become faster, pleasanter and more reliable for everybody involved”
Paul Coch, co-founder of Generato
