Tutech rejoins EEHH cluster

Working together for the energy transition

The energy transition is one of the biggest challenges of our times – and it is also a success story: The proportion of renewables in Germany’s electricity consumption rose from 6% in 2000 to about 60% in 2024. Northern Germany plays a central role here, especially through the strong development of onshore and offshore wind power. Since 2010, the Renewable Energy Hamburg (EEHH) industry network has served as a central platform supporting exchange and cooperation between stakeholders from business, research and politics with the aim of shaping innovative energy systems for the future.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), Tutech is delighted to be part of this network again. Our goal is an active transfer of the TUHH claim, “Engineering to face climate change”, into the economy and to be a bridge builder between research and practice. Using our expertise in promoting innovation and connecting science and industry, we want to help drive forward the energy transition and develop solutions to the challenges posed by climate change.

The EEHH cluster offers an ideal platform to work with about 280 member companies and institutions in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region on future-oriented topics such as sector coupling, using green hydrogen and the digitalisation of energy markets. We look forward to bringing our skills to play and working with strong partners to create the sustainable energy supply of the future.
